Texas Lawyers in Public Service

Introducing
For the Public

Lawyers serve the public in many ways, but some of the most impactful work happens quietly in public service.

Across Texas, attorneys dedicate their careers to supporting communities as prosecutors, public defenders, legal aid attorneys, government lawyers, and judges.

Their work shapes lives, strengthens our justice system, and helps ensure that the law remains accessible to everyone.

Public service has deeply shaped my own legal career, and it inspired the creation of For The Public: Texas Lawyers in Public Service. This project highlights the attorneys who have chosen careers in service and celebrates the meaningful role they play in communities across our state.

Through interviews, stories, and resources, we hope this space not only recognizes their work but also encourages law students and young lawyers to explore the many ways they can serve. Welcome, and thank you for being part of the conversation.
